Final match and final tests

Hello everyone.

Didn't write at the blog for some time now. But I'm gonna tell you we are still alive! As you saw LiilD.C won EPS sca after a really tough final vs dowaq which ended up 3-2 to liil. We will also upload some videos from the event. Some interviews and other great stuff. If you guys want we could make a replaypack from the event for the ones who didn't see the games.

I still been busy with my driverlicense, still studying and practice for it. I got my finals tests this and the next week. So hopefully I can have it soon :D We also got the most important match in whole WC3L this week against old team wicked, now they are called BIN I think. It's the playdown match which means the team who wins this game are done for the next WC3L season so its a really important one. But we will be well prepared for this match so I know we can win it!

And if you wonder about my account in season7 I was playing under the nick dandarula) . Many thought I was attax dark or sting. But it was actully me playing :D Here are some pictures from the lan event at inferno online!

Hey folks!

Yesterday we played against WE and didn't end up that good. We lost the clanwar with a 0:5.. Now we have to take some some points from wicked and SK to be sure for wc3l playdowns. I was pretty happy when I saw they used like and ted. Because my best match ups are against orc and undead. My first bo3 was against TeD with startmap TR. I had a good early game and thought the game was really good. I scouted his banshees a bit too late and that made me lose the game. If I would've scouted it earlier I would play wyvers instead of my kodo/hh combo. I choose EI as a second map becuase I trained it a lot and I feel really secure on this map vs every race. He tried the same with banshees. But this time I thought of an counter to his mass banshees. I played bm tc and mass wyvers. I had good scout on him and managed to get 70 pop before the fight and got really good position the last fight so he got smacked. Last map TM.. I like TM a lot too vs undead. I dont lose often at this map. And I thought I was winning, I played really good early game, had lvl 3 blademaster vs lvl 1 dk at one time of the game. But then.. I did something REALLY stupid!!!! . .. . I took fight without my orb and not even 50 pop. TeD already got his orb and third hero out. Damn why did I do this? maybe because I was so hungry for kill after I killed his 2 ghouls coming to his army. I also had vampaura which makes more effect the bigger army you have.. This was the time I lost the game. But at least I learned from it.

My second bo3 against Like on EI. As I told earlier its a map I like a lot and train it often. I was doing good in the early game and managed to kill 2 grunts while he killed none. I managed to creep my bm to level 3 which makes it so easy to scout. So when my SH was out I creepjacked him at the uppershop. Bam sh down and 2 grunts. After that I just keep killing units and game was over.

Game 2 was at TM.. also a map I like in mirror. I was playing pretty sloppy this game and missed that I scouted him which made me lose some time in early.. And when my SH was out I couldnt find him. I normally try to stab when I get my sh out.. but I couldnt find him! And then he came from nowhere when I was creeping close to his base. He got peons and a scroll I had none of it. He won the game here.

Last map MV. Was pretty the same as TM.. The last fight he played better than me and won.

Next match vs Wicked on friday!! Don't forget that guys. AND dont forget this Saturday 11:00 I will be casting together with endarspire the EPS Finals from Stockholm in ESL TV! ! ! Cheers for liildc! I'm sure he will win!

NGL vs Sky

Hey folks today I had very good feeling when I woke up. I was well prepared for my match against sky and I went into it confident to win it. Im very stable and confident in the elf vs human matchup atm(warden abuse wooohooo) so I thought I was going to be able to defeat sky today. At 16:00 we started vetoing maps, what surprised me was that he vetoed SV which made me happy :) The three maps was going to be TS TM EI, I like them all vs human.

First off was TS and I knew he was going to expand so I made 2 aows and mass tier1 with warden. This is absolutely the best anti FE strat imo. When warden hits level 3 while there's no towers(guard towers) at his expansion I feel like the game is already going fine for me. Sky pushed me back pretty good with mercs/zeppelin but he lost alot too. He made a big mistake losing his lvl 3 AM(where was the zeppelin?) and I could make a final push with glaives and few dryards for dispell. Warden got level 6 and I knew it was game over, he had to call GG and next map was TM.

TM is my favorite map was human, I rarely lose on this map at all so I was glad he didnt veto it. When I was in France for eswc masters me and sky practised in a internet café and I lost 0-2 or 0-3 on TM which surprised me alot(I thought I was undefeatable there). I changed some tiny details like creeping the merc camp to get level 3 so I could get mercs when I was pushing. It paid off really good and even tho he made a painful harras on my moonwells I could end the game with the t2 Glaives/dryards/t1 units push again :) Score was 2-0 and I was very happy that the games went as I wanted =]
I enjoyed a big meal of chicken/potatoes afterwards and started to think about our clanwar vs WE tomorrow. Perhaps I play sky again, hoping for the same result as today !

Knoff is BACK!!

Hey guys I'm back from my intensive course for my driver license. It feels so good to be home again. I really see how addicted I am to my family, my friends and then computer when I leave my home for some days. But its good experience going away and you have to do everything your self. Its good training for the day I will move to a house my self too. So its fun to see how it really is :)

I had a really good time practicing and st. But I still got a lot left to do. In 1,5-2 weeks I will do my final test for the license and thats what matters. So I still have to practice a lot if I want to get my license..

I'm starting to play Season 7 again. Got some really nice games that I will upload when the season a over actully it will be a replaypack ^^ hopefully around 200 games if not more. On monday we got a match against World Elite we are currently rank 10 in WC3L and it would be good if we could try to take some points to make sure we stay in WC3L. The maps vs WE are Death Trap, Echo Isles, Secret Valley, Turtle Rock. Pretty hard maps for us beacuse they are really good for undead and human. So they will prolly use Sky and Ted.

And the next weekend the EPS scandinavia will take place which will be really fun. ( I will meet LIILDC!!! ) His chances to win the finals are really good so I hope he can do it and I will support him ^^ The tournament will be best of 5 and single elemination. LiilDC will play against Ciara the first round. And the other players are Dowaq against bringer. I'm pretty sure dowaq will win so I think LiilDC and dowaq will meet in the final which would be really nice. Two swedish players. :D

NGL vs Mouz

Woke up today with a better feeling than yesterday, finally!
I was first out to play vs mouz today on startmap TS. We expected TH to start and so he did, I was well prepared and didnt have any bigger problems finishing the game with warden and 2 aows hunts. This strat seems to be very, VERY hard for humans to counter atm if you do it good ^^
Next player for mouz was fov, as expected too. I thought I would lose against him,(last time I played him in ngl I lost 0-2) but I had a good start on TR and got the map control early in the game. I knew I had a good chance leveling up my heroes and trying to avoid him from getting any bigger spots. He did good creeping anyway and we got into a fight when both was on 70 pop or so. I lost alot of units and killed some too(less units than I wanted to kill tho). Here he had a chance to run over me but he gave me some time and I could get up 80 pop or so with nice items on my heroes and good upgrades on my units, I knew the game was mine at this point. After a short fight he had to call GG and I was a bit happy, but still one to go!
Fly picking SV surprised me abit since I thought he was going to pick MV. I had a decent start picking up greater healing potion and killing 1 grunt, then he played 2 beast mass raiders and I went to be offensive until I had 50 pop with my 3rd hero choice: kotg. I thought the game looked alright for me but I made some mistakes in the fight. First of all I didnt rebuild up my altar when it got down, then I didnt macro(building dots) in the fight as I should have, and 3rd I didnt cyclone his hero in the late fight and surround/kill them. Perhaps I did some more mistakes which im not thinking about now but yeah that's at least something ^^

It was knoff turn to step in vs fly but it turned out really bad. He had alot of lagg and fly played abit smarter. Last man for us to give raptor the victory was Thorzain!

In the early game on MV Thorzain vs Fly it looked good for thorzain I think, lvl 3 mk vs 2 bm. Later on he was able to use mercs(berserkers,priests,golem) very good and could finish off wyvern after wyvern. Then suddenly Fly made a comeback killing MK(lagg? he had tp) and went allin(more or less) at thorzains expansion. All towers except one went down and it was close to GG. Thorzains units came to the rescue and could somehow push away the BM and buy some time until his MK came back. Fly tried to set up an expansion instead but Thorzain pushed him to death quiet easily with gryphons :) The victory was ours !! Raptor 3 - 2 Mouz
Tomorrow I will be back at work and will probably have no time to write here, but hope u enjoyed my last 3 posts and the games this weekened :)

Hey folks, im sitting here swetting with a fever atm waiting to get better..
I expected us to at least take 2 points vs clan Go) today and I when I saw the lineup I felt confident to win vs focus just as much as vs space just myself and then I thought thorzain would beat focus.
I started off playing against focus on DT, I felt in the begining of the game that my mind was fucked up, my body didnt react as I wanted to and I think I had very low apm. I felt like "slow" was casted on my brain, guess that's the best comparation I can give with my lack off good english. It ended up in a long game anyway which I could have won pretty easy if I was more alert. He focused my heroes all the time and I lost my demon in the last big fight even tho that I could have won the game but this was just not my bo3 ^^
2nd game he took down my gold mine and could end the game after 10 mins or so...At this time I wanted to go back to bed and sleep, but still 2 bo3s left.
First 2on2 with HLA started off, I dont even want to write anything about those games cause I feel completely lost in what happened in the games..All I can say atm is that we need 100 times better teamwork and alot of practise games together ^^
After the first 2 bo3s I expected to lose vs space but I got a better feeling in the begining of the first map on AI. Micro wise and my mind started to work better. I could actually win the both maps (AI/TM) without any bigger problems. I think space was a bit slow with his micro or he aint so used to my style vs undead.
1-4 is too bad vs clan go) and we want to do better next time, expect that!
In 1 hour me/knoff will play vs nGt 2on2, hope we can do it better than me/hla earlier today, cu everyone!

Okey so I guess alot of people wondered what happened to this blog. Basically: I started to work for a company, (salesman) where I get education at the same time as I get out to work. I worked around 10 hours per day and it took up all my energy :p
I will continue at the work and put all my freetime focusing on my upcoming wc3 matches. Since I started to work(2 weeks ago) we had a wc3l war vs nGt, it went fine for me defeating sonik 2-0 and majestic 2-0. Thorzain won vs majestic but lost vs sonik so the score was 3-1 to us and the 2on2 is pped. Me/HLA will play this time, it will be interesting for sure :)
We also had a ngl war vs attax where trydying started out losing to dark after a very surprising game. It was my turn to step in and I did it with the best success I could. Won vs dark then xlord and last yaws, so we won the cw with 3-1 and it was time for me to hit the bed directly after the cw ^^All kill always feels so nice !
Today I also had a ngl match vs check. I expected to lose with a 0-2 score cause Im having a fever atm and was at the doctor yesterday. He thought I was over stressed and he gave me some medicine and I rested the entire day. Today I felt a little bit better but I decided to play all-in strats vs check cause I knew that late games would be very difficult. Im happy he played standard bears in all 3 games, I could counter it with talons pretty good and I ended up with the victory with a 2-1 score :)

I really don't know how this blog will keep on going when im working as much as I do atm but hopefully I will at least write about our matches and on the weekends have more time to write some other things, but I don't know yet...

For knoff: He has been on a intensive course with his driver license and didnt have much computer-time, but I think he will start producing posts shortly too :)

Wc3l and NGL vs attax

hey everyone, so im sitting here atm totally exhausted. Not because I just played vs attax in ngl, but also since I had to wake up around 08:00 today and work to around 17:00. When I arrived home around 18:00 my thoughts was something like "I hope I don't fell asleep while watching trydying play". He lost a pretty weird game vs dark and I had to step in. The game vs dark on TR went really smooth and I had no problem finishing it as soon as I got master upgrade. Not much to say about that game...
Vs xlord I has a revenge feeling after the games yesterday where I lost 0-2..This time I went into the game with promising myself that I wouldnt let him get up any expansion, and he didnt. It was still a very hard game becasue his garg harras isnt to joke around with..I was very happy when I defeated it, nothing feels as good as revenge!
Last man out was yaws for them, he picked MV(the map he won against me yesterday). I knew I had to change some things and I choosed DR as 1st hero instead of Panda. I crept the gold mine very fast and built up an expansion. He timed his "harras" pretty good tho and canceled my expansion. What he did bad was losing too many footmens and I could push his expansion and when I saw that he didnt have any guard towers there I knew this game would be mine. I could finish the game after getting level 6 DR, allkill wooohooo!!!

Now for the less fun, wc3l war vs attax. Yesterday we lost with a 1-4 score..Hla lost both his solo matches and I won vs yaws and lost vs xlord. In the 2on2 bo3 we lost vs hu/hu.............
Whole raptor left the clanwar with a angry feeling because this was one of our most important matches..I wont go much further about this match cause im too tired atm and I get angry just thinking about that clanwar..Good night everyone (S)

Hey guys after a disappointing match against Attax in WC3L yesterday we are really hungry for revenge in NGL tonight. Some games where really close and they had the luck on their side.. For example the last 2v2 game and LiiLD.C vs Xlord on Turtle rock.

The startmap in NGL is Ancient Isles so I think they will start with xlord or yaws.

I was just down at the gym and after that I went to the post for getting my clothes from Raptor. Here is some pics of it! :D

Hey folks, today I played my ngl match vs happy. I didn't get into it with any big expectations since im not that strong vs happys style with the spider and 3 hero thing. I tried to play DR the 1st game on AI but I messed up the start and lost too many archers and already there he had a huge advantage. 2nd map I tried my normal style with demon and the game went very good until I started losing my heroes and also one big mistake was forgeting dust before the first big fight..It always feels bad losing to happy since I dont like him as a person or a player, tho I respect him as a player. Next match will be in wc3l on sunday, hope we can do great !

Interview with Fredrik 'KnOfF' Knopf
"Raptor is the best team I've ever played in"

Fredrik 'KnOfF' Knopf has been a professional Warcraft 3 player for years now. In the end of 2008 he joined Raptor-Gaming. In an interview with fragster the Swedish player talks about his new team, his best eSport experience and the future of Warcraft 3.

fragster: Fredrik, how did you and Raptor-Gaming come together in the end of 2008?

Fredrik 'KnOfF' Knopf: Hello. We came together in a really good way. Actually I had pretty good contact with most of the players since I played for team BioXar around one year ago. And BioXar and Raptor worked together. So I had pretty good contact with the players and the management since before. And now I just know the team even better. (laughing)

Was it important for you to join together with your Swedish mate Daniel 'LiiLD.C' Claesson? Or was it even one of your requirements?

KnOfF: Since we are really good friends it was pretty important for me to join together with him. But we played together for pretty long time now, since the start of summer 2008 actually. If Raptor wouldn’t make us an offer, I’m not sure that we would play in the same team. It was hard to find a good organization at this time so we got really lucky that Raptor made us an offer. I didn’t really think much about "requirements" at this time.

How would you describe the atmosphere in the team?

KnOfF: The atmosphere is really, really good now. I would say we are all friends with each other. Lloth, that many people had problems with because of his manner and bad behaviour, has actually changed a lot and I would say he is a nice person and always doing his best for us, the team. And that sometimes looks bad for other teams or players. I wouldn’t fit better in any other team, with my really good friends LiiLD.C and Thorzain. Also I come along with Lloth, Dan, bina and of course the German players HLA and TryDying.

Do you have a lot of contact to the German players of Raptor-Gaming?

KnOfF: We talk mostly when they practice for ESL Pro Series matches or in clanwars. Else it's not so much. But I met them in real life and they are both really nice guys!

Which are the striking differences between Raptor-Gaming and your former clans?

KnOfF: (laughing) Wow, that’s a really big difference. I can see every day how much the team cares about us. Before, I didn’t even have any contact with the management at all. Raptor is the best team I ever played in and every day is just getting better and better in the team. When I say they care about us, I mean that they fix everything for us and we don’t have to talk with the management to get things done as it was before. And the main reason why it’s like this is because of bina. She is a really nice person and she cares a lot about the players and asks us if something is wrong, she is just a really nice person.

You startet writing a blog with LiiLD.C just some time ago. Do you think it is also the job of professional gamers like you to do things like that for their fans?

KnOfF: Yeah, we started to blog. It’s really fun to write about myself and things about Warcraft. We will continue blogging as long as someone wants to read it! And yes, I think it’s something that is important to do as a professional gamer because many people want to get tips from you, see replays and just get the chance to talk to you.

Currently, you are three Swedish players in Raptor-Gaming. Do you have as much contact to Thorzain as to LiiLD.C?

KnOfF: Yes. We are talking at ventrilo right now (laughing). We talk daily at ventrilo to each other. We help each other with practice, watch replays together, talk about the mistakes and what you can do better after every game. For example if I lose to some elf in the ladder I can just send the replay to LiilD.C and he tells me what I’m doing wrong and what I can do better.

What are the goals of your team in WC3L and NGL 3on3 competition?

KnOfF: The WC3L goal is to stay in WC3L and not to have to requalify. Our goal in NGL is to reach top 3. But it’s most important that we improve as players and as a team. That's what matters in the end.

But for the Clans it's mostly the results that matter. Only a successful team is a good team, or isn’t that the message of the last months?

KnOfF: Yes, but take a look on every team. The two players that are playing are mostly good friends and talk with each other a lot. For example Grubby and Happy. They've been good friends for a long time. There are many examples of it: Shy and FoCuS, me and LiiLD.C or Thorzain, Lyn and MicheaL, XlorD and yAwS and so on. But yes, you need both parts.

You tried to qualify for the NGL 1on1 league, but you had no success. Aren’t you frustrated not to play in the – as it seems – strongest solo league in the world?

KnOfF: Yes I lost to DowaQ in the Winnerbracket and WinNers in the Lowerbracket. Winning any of these matches would have brought me into NGL. So yes, I’m frustrated that I don’t play in NGL. But next time I will give even more to qualify for it.

What do you think about the EPS Scandinavia? Why didn't you participate this season?

LiiLD.C and KnOfF became friends a long time ago

KnOfF: I had to win against Thorzain. But he won against me he played really good. And well, his matchup against Orc has always been good. Especially in the last weeks with his wins against Fly100%, WhO, S.o.k.o.L and Eric. And then I got the chance to play a grid for one spot into EPS, but I wasn’t able to play that day because I had problems at home and it wasn’t possible to postpone it. So that was really bad luck.

You've been playing on a professional level for years. What was your best eSport experience?

KnOfF: My best eSport experience was winning the DreamHack Winter 2008 against LiiLD.C in the final. Besides that it was all my trips to other countries and meeting other professional players. Like in Madrid and Paris where I met many of the best players in the world.

Which future do you see for Warcraft 3?

KnOfF: I think when StarCraft 2 comes out most of the players will change to that. But people will always be playing WC3 even if it will not be on the same level as it is now.

How do you notice the development of eSport worldwide and in Sweden?

KnOfF: Worldwide, for example the contract Moon signed last week just shows how big eSport really is in some parts of the world. In Sweden there are some things happening but not enough and it’s taking so much time. DreamHack is the only big for eSport we have in Sweden. Else it’s nothing.

Right now I am studying some theory for my driver license since I'm leaving next sunday for 2 weeks on a intensive-course. That is one the reason I wasn't able to practice as much as I normally do. But when I'm back I will play more than ever ^^ But the worst thing is that I probably will miss season 7 which is really bad.. I always like the season ladders because it's really good practice and good motivation to play more.

wc3l vs colorful

After the ngl match vs ToD I had 1 hour to relax and focus on the wc3l war. Ofc I had to eat something because clanwar vs a chinese team = will probably last for hours. They surprised us with the lineup and played with ace. We expected 2 orcs.

I got to begin vs ace on DT, I never played the map vs human before. I tried some aow creeping in private game then I decided to play warden and mass hunts cause I was sure he was going to expand. I crept to lvl 2, backstabbed him when he FE´ed and managed to take down his expansion and finish the game. 2nd game was on MV. He scouted directly in the start and took down my aow with help from the mercs. At this point I got frustrated and I tried to make 2 aows mass hunts with panda and push him. It got way too delayed and he countered it with gryphons/tanks and I couldn't do much else than camp my base and be outplayed. Last map was TM(maybe AI would have been a better choice) the start was bad for me again, I scouted at wrong creepspots and I had a feeling it was not going that great. I pushed with warden, hunts, archers, dryards, glaives trying to finish the game. He did great defending the push with mercs and zeppelin. After backing off I went there again and this time I was able to take down the main base. He had alot of breakers and was building mortars/sorcs/priests so the game was not over.
Then the "lame" part started. The game went over to be a macro/mind game from micro. After 58 mins I could finish him off with some chims and high hero levels. It's definately a replay that I recommend to watch. All reps from the Clanwar can be found here.
Feeling after the game: EXHAUSTED!
I went away from the pc and to take some fresh air and I thought "what if I had lost that game", I would have been so fucking mad.

Thorzain won his solo and the score was 2-0!!

It was time for me and knoff to start the 2on2, played a hu/orc team which we didn't know much about. First game on TM they got exp tome on their AM and could push us very good with level 2 water elementals. We lost the game pretty easy and I think I played very bad. 2nd map was GW and no problems at all, we just avoided the AM from getting any level at all and then pushed them on tier2, gg. 3rd and deciding map was TR which is really good for hu/orc. They can use militias so good on TR and so they did. We didn't have much to chance and had to call GG after really good timing with the attack from their side. Me and knoff really have to shape it up in the 2on2!!

Now we really wanted to go for the 4-1 score. Thorzain had to play ace, and me future. I started playing vs future on AI, I knew he was going to harras me in start and try to kill some wisps, so I hided some of them and was ready to burn his blade when he came up. He didn't get much out of his harras and I had the advantage in the game. Then I waited for 50 pop and took the fight with 2 healscrolls, I fell asleep(more or less) in the fight and lost my tinker/bm and was close to losing my demon twice. I guess the tiredness was getting me cause I felt so weird, my micro sucked. He lost alot too. Both went up to 70 pop or so, after a huge fight I had demon and 40 pop dots left and he around 40 pop. Thanks to elfs ability to walk their main tree to a gold mine when their mine is empty I could win the game. He had to take a fight and he had too few units, I knew he was going to try to snipe down one of my heroes, but with no success from him he had to leave the game abit angry I guess. 2nd map was EI, I got to backstabb him early in the game and got the item from him(better ping I guess). I also got to kill his blade at the next creepcamp and 2-3 grunts. The game was more or less over at this point. He tried to backstabb me when I crept a big spot, it ended up with his BM being surrounded and killed, GG.

Thorzain won vs ace after a crazy game on TM, which I also recommand that u have look at. Score was 4-1 to Raptor!! We felt like "finally a convincing win" and we hope to repeat it in the next clanwar !!

It started off with gym, some nice food when I arrived home and then I had to play ToD in NGL. This post will be about my match vs ToD and the upcoming post about the wc3l war.
I vetoed SV/TR and he TM/AI just as expected. First map was TS, I know ToD is a fucking monster vs normal elf strats(dh,dr) so I had to play it abit different. I played warden on TS and I knew he was gonna expand so I did 2 aows and mass hunts. My plan was simple, get lvl 3 warden, let my warden work his AM down in HP and my units > his units and most important: dont let any guard towers up! It worked perfect and it was a very short game.
2nd map was EI, I thought he expected the same strat as on TS so I changed some things. I made only 1 aow and archers/mercs. I had a good early game killing 3 footies and I knew my push would hurt him alot. Therefor I played dots and naga as a 2nd hero. My push did hurt him alot, but I couldn't finish him. I set up an expansion and added 2 lores and mass dryards. He had too few towers in his main base so I decided to push the main bace over and over again. I got my warden to level 6 and he had to call GG after I killed his both heroes. I'm very happy to finally kill ToD in a tournament, I lost 3 or 4 times to him and it was such a relief to get the victory today :)

NGL vs nGize

Raptor vs nGize just ended and we lost with a 2-3 score. Startmap was SV and I personally expected check to start, to counter knoff. They started with vortix and we with knoff. The game was pretty one-sided and knoff could finish him without any big problems. They choosed lucifron on SV vs knoff(mistake from nGize to not start with him if he wanted to play SV vs knoff). Lucifron killed 2 grunts in early game and got knoffs lodge canceled once which gave him an advantage. Knoff tried to creep up his hero levels and went up pretty fast from 50 food while lucifron waited longer and saved more gold. After a big fight knoff had to call GG. At this point we had some discussions if me or thorzain should play, thorzain ended up playing on MV without any success. The game started off great for thorzain killing SH and some raiders + canceling lucifrons expansion. At this point it looked great in the game but it changed when MK got killed, a bat destroyed thorzains zeppelin over the trees and all his units got killed + MK again. Lucifron made mass bats vs gryphons and thorzain couldn't make any comeback from the bad midgame.

It was now my turn to step in as the last Raptor player. I picked TR vs lucifron where I feel secure/stable vs orc atm. He tried some lame mass wyverns strat(on closeposs!!?), I pushed him to death quiet fast. The idea was to attack before he got his armor upgrade on his towers/burrows and it worked perfectly. Last and the deciding game was vs check on MV. I had in mind he would play potm and mass t1 with expansion so I scouted his fast expo really good and took it down exactly before it got up. I canceled his expo for a 2nd time and he changed his expo placement to his natural side. I had a good feeling in the game that this was going great and I just had to push him with 50 pop and finish it. I picked panda as a 2nd hero(which I regret) instead of BM or naga that would have been a better choice now afterwards. The push went so-so, not very good not very bad. I lost alot of units, so did he. The key thing was that I couldn't get his expansion down. I was forced to back after taking alot of damadge on my heroes and he got the time he needed to get up alot of units/scrolls. It was GG and I feel abit sad but hey, it could have gone worse!
Tomorrow im playing my dear friend ToD in ngl, will be lots of fun if we find a decent host.
And 2 hours later wc3l vs colorful!!

Also heard that the new ENC season will start soon again. That means a lot of fun and many nice games. I hope Sweden can qualify for the finals because the ENC-finals is really really great. I remeber the last 2 years @ Games Convention had a really good time and meet so many wc3-players ^^ Since I'm good friend with many Germans players too.

Just finished my 2 hour long bo3 vs TeD. I gotta say it was ridiculous. We had like 3 hosts ready when the clock was 15:00. Neither one of them was ok for TeD. He requested to play on cgz.blue, we tested it, it lagged like hell for both of us. The frustration is getting bigger and bigger for every minute that goes, after one hour the admin decided that we had to play on one host now. I wouldn't even call the first game warcraft3. It was more like Spikecraft or Laggcraft, it ended after 10 mins and I thought about giving defwin because it was no point playing with this delay and spikes. We changed host for the 2nd game, in the beginning it was pretty ok but as soon as the fights started it lagged like hell. I wasn't even able to pick up the item when I crept, and ofc he got the so important greater healing potion. He pushed my expansion the entire game and I had the feeling "senseless playing under these conditions".

I'm not saying I had won if we had a good host and im also not saying TeD didnt have lagg, cause he did...There's just no point in playing under conditions like these,...G_G

Yesterday I won vs fly losing the first map and winning the 2nd and 3rd. Today it went the same way :))
I lost the first game on AI after a really good start, favourite moment was when I trapped 1 grunt and blade with 1 hided archer and moonwells/trees. Then suddenly my mind got fucked up and I thought I had already won the game..I took a really bad 50 vs 70 fight which I could have avoided just by waiting 20 secs more and it would have been 70 vs 70..I left the first game with a "I want to suicide" feeling..
2nd map was EI, my thoughts was waiting out fly, get healscrolls and 70 pop then take fight, it worked out great since he didnt expo and he wanted to play aggressive except taking fight in my base. 1 tip is to scout with quillbeast instead of getting trapped with your whole army and forced to tp when u are running over the map. I won the big and only fight and it was GG.
3rd map was TM. I expected him to think that I would play the same as yesterday so I changed my 2nd hero and t3 tech instead of staying on t2. He played far from his best level and I had no serious problems winning the 3rd map..I love the taste of victory :))

Next match will be on thursday where I play TeD in ngl. I'm the underdog here but I will do my best to win the bo3, I know I can do it !! ciao

Wc3l vs mouz

Just finished our match vs mouz in wc3l. It started off with the 2on2, here me and knoff felt very secure to win it. Mouz played with hasu/th000 today which surprised us alot and since we hate to play vs an ud/elf team we had to figure out something extra. We lost the first game pretty big, my massing strat with hunts and demon didnt work out at all as we wanted it to do. They had perfect timing with their attack and it was G_G. 2nd game we played it all standard and it turned out to be the best idea. 3rd map we went for a mass hunts strat again and they expoed at the same time as us..Their army got much bigger than ours and it feels like me/knoff in 2on2 always loses with 1-2 vs ANY ud/elf team out there..so damn frustrating...Reps for the clanwar can be found HERE

Then I had to play th000, startmap TM(woohoo!). I pushed him with warden and mass hunts, killed his lvl 3 AM early in the game and I felt like this would be no problem. Then I suddenly noticed I had almost an entire army of hunts, that was not the plan at all. I wanted to have more glaives instead and 2-0 upgrade on them. I guess the nerves took me a little bit but I managed to get up some glaives and dryards and get level 6 on my warden and in the end it turned out to be the deciding factor for the GG. Map 2 on MV I exepcted him to expo fast with AM but he played MK and crept the merc creep directly, I crept the same and massed hunts and won the game really fast since he didnt manage to get up his tower at his expansion. The feeling: Really nice(!!) to get my first 1on1 win in wc3l.

After that I had to play fly in the last bo3, who I also play tomorrow in the ngl 1 league. The first game started out great but he played some weird strat with hh's that surprised me and I got unsecure and lost the match pretty hard. TM went exactly as I wanted it to go with a combination of hunts/dryrds I gained advantage early on and could push him really good and end the game. Map 3 was MV(usually a orc map) but I had practised alot on MV vs orc and I felt ok with playing it. I think he expected a 50 pop push but I waited and he made a big mistake taking a fight in my base with a really bad position from him. He was way too aggressive at this point and I could push him and finish the game. Two wins in the 1on1 feels really good, I think I will sleep well tonight. Good job to thorzain(SHAPE!!!) also defeating fly which also lead to the win !! 3-2 :)

Good morning :D Today I will just take it easy and prepare for the match tomorrow. I will play some ladder and customgames but I also have to practice for my driver license which I'm hopefully going to take in April. Tomorrow 18:00 we will play Against Mousesports. It will be a really nice clanwar with a lot of good games as always.
Mousesports have a pretty big rooster to with Fly100, Lyc, Qeki, Sai, TH000, Yumiko and their teamleader Hasuobs.

With a mappool of MV TR TM EI. We have the mapsystem ABBA and mouz ABAB.I think we can expect Hasuobs/fly or Fly/th000 in the lineup from mouz. I would say Fly on MV and TM.

Zotac and Ladder

Hey ho! Had to do some important stuff which meant I wasn't able to play zotac today.. :/ And things didn't go better for LiiLD.C since he had to leave after 3 games in Zotac. But many upsets as always in Zotac. As you can see in the grid lyn lost to myrik and grubby lost to Luke. Luke is a player I'm sure we will see more of he is a really talented orc and just getting better and better. If Luke continue playing good he might upset fov and can go for the finals where I think he will play against the winner of soccer and focus. Hope we can enjoy some nice games and talk more about them tonight! who do you think win?

Back from the gym with the nice feeling you get every time you worked out. Even if it's hard to motivate yourself going to the gym, it always feels sooo good afterwards :). I've worked out for around 1 year at the gym now and here's my week schedule: (all exercises are made 3x6)
Monday: Breast, Stomach

Just woke up. Slept too many hours as usual, maybe I shall go to the doctor and ask him why Ive to sleep around 11 hours per night :s. "Eating" my morning drink: 1 banana, 1dl soured milk, 2 dl milk, 2 dl porridge oats, 1 dl frozen berries combined in a mixer. It's a good start to kick off the day :). I'm soon heading out for the gym, leg and forearm today. When I get back home I will write about my week schedule and some training tips ;D Even tho im not the biggest guy Ive alot of knowledge in the training section since ive trained something my whole life =]
It's absolutely not feeling like a friday today...Usually you want to go out and party and the mood is great, maybe I had too much of that the last weekends..Time for a warcraft weekend instead ! Zotac tomorrow? We will see ! laters

Hey people. Just woke up and eating some breakfast while watching my morningreplays before I start playing. Friday means Zotac tomorrow and a lot of gaming! Which is nice! Also XLOcup started again which was a cup many used to play before I hope they will improve their prizes and that a lot of people will start to play it again. These kind of tournaments are really good practice and preparation for important matches like WC3L/NGL. On monday we will play against Mousesports. After our disappointed clanwars in the start of the season we are now really hungry for taking as many points as possible. I hope we can win with 4:1 or 5:0 against Mouz because I know we can! Back to the replays and ladder now. Game on.

Woke up around 13:00 today and really motivated to hit the ladder..I really don't know why I get motivated as soon as it's reseted..Its the same normal ladder, the same delay(yeah even tho im swedish ive like 1 sec at least), the same whining guys every game they lose, the hackers(are they gone? I don't think so) and the the skill quality is so much better in custom games. For me personally I like the competetive feeling as you get now when the ladder is new and fresh, you want to: 1. Get good stats(even tho the skill quality of the players is low more or less every good player plays the ladder) 2. The strat variation, you will never be one of the best players before you can counter the weird and surprising strats as good as the normal ones. And ofc 3. High rank!!

Ladder has always ment something to me and still does(think its a good guideline, showing how your shape is), here's a picture that shows me proud of a ladder account back in WE.Just =) The stats is 92-19 if its hard to see and the name is ForgiveMe :)

So as LilLD.C said in the post earlier we will public the blog and writing daily now. I had to take a break off from the computer yesterday after my horrible games against MTW even if Thorzain played really really good and the 2 vs 2 went good for me and LiiLD.C. But I’m still disappointed on my self because of my games against Eric and who. Game one against Eric I played good and had no problem to win. My second game I was a bit unlucky and my shadow hunter got stuck in the base which meant I had to cut down some trees to get it out. And that made my base open for harass which eric used well when he took down my burrow and warmill 2 times. Eric also bought the 2 healing scrolls which are important in bigger fights. So Eric pushed me with 50 pop and 2 scrolls and I couldn’t do much against it. Third and last game I wasn’t sure which map to play. I was thinking of TR or SV. But I decided SV since I practiced and my last ladderwin were at SV. I think that was the decision which made me lost the bo3. If I would’ve picked TR instead which I played more and are more secure on I think I wouldn’t lose the match. I know I am a better player than Eric and that doesn’t make the thing easier.

But I will be ready for my next mirrormatch and will practice on my mistakes from these matches. My first game vs who were on SV too but I changed a bit in my strategy and things went a lot better. I managed to kill his level 3 blademaster in a really good time of the game. So I took the advantage to stab him since he was missing his blademaster. I managed to kill some units but not enough to take use of the advantage after I killed his hero. His hero came back after I killed the shop and a grunt. Things didn’t look so good for me anymore since I couldn’t kill as much as I expected. So he started to come back to game and then he made a hit and run at my base and he got to kill 3 burrows and some peons of me which gave him a lot of time. The last and big fight he won pretty easy with a bigger army and better items than my. So I took my favorite map in mirror TM. The early game was looking good for me and I killed 2 of his grunts and I didn’t lose any grunts. I went to the shop top of the map, I was spawning at the down-right and he to the down-left. I bought a scroll and had now level 3 blademaster and I can easily scout him. I ran down to the other shop too see if he was there since you often try to creep the shop because of the healingsrolls etc but he wasn’t there. So I thought I can creep it. Normally at this time of the game when you have level 3 blademaster 1 walker 1 raider the best option isn’t to creep its to stab the enemy and try to kill the shadowhunter.

This was the mistake of the game and it made me taking a fight when his shadowhunter was almost level 3 and my where only level 2. If I would’ve stabbed him earlier things would look so much better. At least I learned from my mistakes and that’s what matters. I will now prepare for our next match against Mousesports. The Chinese and German team which FLY, th000 and Hasuobs. They will probably use th000 and fly in their solo games and in the 2vs2 Fly and Hasuobs. I will keep practicing and give my best for winning against mouz!!!

Hey folks, time to get this started for real now. In this blogg text I will write about our first 3 clanwars in the highest warcraft league aka Wc3l (http://www.wc3l.de/).

First off was vs ngize, a match that would have felt incredible good to win, not only because it was vs my previous clan before raptor but also a good start in the league always feels nice and is important.
The clanwar started off very good with a win in the 2on2 game, 2-1 to us and the feeling was quiet good. Then I had to play lucifron, startmap Echo Isle. The game went pretty ok but in the so important 50 vs 50 fight, the tinker wasnt out for me and I took the fight with dh-bm only. the fight went pretty bad and it was more or less gg already. I felt pretty sad because the practise on EI felt really good vs orcs before the clanwar. Next map was TM. I wanted to play a very aggressive style with dh hunts kotg dryards and force him to creep a big spot where I could backstabb him and gain the advantage. He kinda outplayed me, waiting to creep a big spot until I started mine. He got the important merc camp and a berserker that is so good vs hunts/dryards and already there the game was pretty much over. I tried to win it back by making an expansion and some hit n run, but it didnt work out as I wanted it and I had to call a GG.
Vs check I had a new strat which I practised before this game and I thought it would work. The first map AI went good for me and had the game pretty hard. I should have pushed allin instead of giving him time to build up his mass bears. Too many bears ended the way in his favour in the end. 2nd map was TR and I wanted to play some usual bear mirror, I lost a early bear fight and he just pushed me to death quiet fast. Another 0-2 lose and it was time to go afk and get out some frustration....HLA lost vs both lucifron and check too so the final score was 1-4..Dissappointing..

Our 2nd clanwar was vs mYm. Grubby/happy lineup was expected and I saw our chances in the 2on2 for around 70-30 and my matches in the 1on1 around 40-60. The clanwar kicked off with the 2on2 and we won the first game but got destroyed in the upcoming two. We just didnt have the strats and minds this time to play against a strong ud/orc combo. After the 2on2 ended I was up against grubby on startmap TM. I more or less always played hunts vs grubby on TM and I wanted to "surprise" him with archers and talons. The game really went horrible for me, it must have been one of the worst games ive played this year. I think I survived for around 8 mins and then left with a gg and wanted to break my table or throw away the computer out of the window. I tried to get my mindset back again and the game on AI went much better but still not good enough. I had the feeling of "nothing is working today" and I lost 0-2. After alot of delay(ggc) was screwing around, I ended up playing happy on bnet and I won pretty fast since he was lagging alot. The upcoming 2 matches was played on ggc. 2nd map was AI, his strat was expected but I really didnt understand how to counter it. 3rd and last map was MV, when we practised on this map I think I won every more or less every game so I felt confident. The game went pretty good for me even tho I lost my hero in the start and had the feeling that I would take it. Even tho he canceled my expansion when it was 90% finished I knew I could still win the game. I played very aggressive and I wanted to stop him from gaining levels on his heroes. This ended up in a backstabb where I suddenly lost my demon hunter due to heavy nuking and losing my demon hunter meant losing my Panda to. He could easily now go to my expansion and take it down. The 1-2 lose was a fact..If the dissappointment was huge after the first clanwar it was not better after this one.

Today we played vs mTw and my only part in this clanwar was playing the 2on2 with knoff. Our plans was stable before the match and the games went more or less exactly as we wanted. The 2-0 victory went pretty fast and it felt really good. Thorzain had a incredible day beating both whO and eric and the 3rd game vs whO on MV is a really MUST SEE game. Knoff had a though day again and lost vs eric and whO but it was alright since we won the clanwar with 3-2 :)

The practise for me is going fine and I feel like its time to show some better results in wc3l when I get the chance :) Raptor fighting! Let's take the next clanwar with a 4-1 or 5-0 victory!

Hey everyone knoff gave me this idea about blogging and sharing some thoughts and replays for the people whoever wants to read it. I think some people appreciates it and it could be good for me to write down my thoughts on page :). I think it will be alot of fun for both the readers and me ^^

Me during an interview with a swedish tv company.

My name is Daniel Claesson and im currently living in sweden, gothenburg. I'm 19 years old and my birthday is 4 august. My nickname is LiiLD.C and as knoff mentioned earlier we both play in raptor gaming, a german based team and so far a really good and stable organisation :). My life has always involved alot of sports, mostly fotball and handball. My dad has been my coach through my entire handball life and last year I played in the 2nd highest division in Sweden. Last year I also took a very hard decision. Go for gaming 1 year or study/play handball. The most people know at this point which one I picked ^^ aka gaming. There's still times I regret it and there's moments I feel confident that I picked the right one. Gaming is a one time chance I get while I can make a comeback in handball later on, so this year I focused on gaming and to build up my body(gym 4 times per week). I can give details on the gym part in a other entry if appreciated.

My warcraft 3 career started around 3-4 years ago when I started observing my older brother playing some RT(Random Team) matches. It looked quite cool and I wanted to try it out. I started playing RT and later on solo. I played many 2on2 matches with Sunshine(Sunshine.Eve) and I joined clan plB as a startclan to play 2on2 with Sunshine. I got more and more tired of 2on2 and I realised its mostly a 1on1 game Warcraft 3. I started to hit the ladder(1on1) and my progress was moving slowly forward. I won some incups and I got to join clan WE(Europe team), since that I just kept moving forward and is still trying to get better and better. The feeling of playing a perfect game under alot of pressure is priceless.

That was just a few facts about the past. In the next entry I will write down what's going on in my life at the moment and a few tips how to become a good gamer.

Hey!

So now me and LiiLD.C will start blogging. We will give you replays/vods/pictures and everything else you cant imagine about a professional warcraft 3 player!

First we will introduce ourselves and tell a bit how we started for the people who doesn't know us very well.

So my name is Fredrik Knopf im 19 years old and will turn 20 at the 11 September. I play for Raptor gaming which is an German organization. Together with LiilD.C, ThorZaiN and some of the best German players HLA and TryDying we make one of the best European teams. I played Warcraft for about 4 years now. I started to play warcaft in last class of high-school and I had a friend who learned me playing. He was a pretty good player but never got known. We talked about the game everyday in school and we started to play some Arranged Team(2vs2) together. But then he got tired of me making us lose all the time and he told me to start play solo and there we go. I made one account then one more and another one and always wanted to get better stats than the old account. I didn't really know you could play at GG-client this time which is a program most players use today because of the good ping. I was playing for myself mostly and didnt really have any friends at warcraft. Then one day I heard about a internet cup called incup(today its like Zotac which will be running tomorrow, so sign up all!). Which many of the best European players played every sunday. I thought of it and wanted to try it out. I didn't stand lot of a chance at this time and lost every first or second round. But I made better and better and then one day I made the breakthrough which was my game against the well known 4K.Grubby. The game was at Treasure Island. And he played the normal farseer firelord at this time with kodos and a towerrush. I made good in early game and didnt lose any grunts and could creep my blade to level 2. I just got my shadowhunter out in time and because he push me with towers wards will do the most damage at this time. I manged to defend against the towerrush and I win the game.
After this people where asking each other, who is this knoff? And then I got an offer from Prae, which was team pgs and ngize for a while.
